Prof. Apostle Jerry and Dr. Pastor Eunice Makananisa have dedicated their lives to serving the Lord and His people. Together they started Charis Missionary Church in Tembisa Zone 10 as a home-grown church on 19^th September 1999 with just a hand-full of members. Since then the church grew and moved to an open land in 2006 located off Madiba drive in Winnie-Mandela Park Zone 5, Tembisa, South Africa.

The church currently hosts a capacity of more than 15000 members. They have been given the opportunity to grow the family of God through establishment of sister churches or branches in:
